Copper Nickel cupro nickels are widely used in manufacturing good quality of pipes due to its moderate strength and good thermal stability in high extensive temperature. The grade offers high oxidation resistance in moist air environment and steam temperature. The Cu-Ni grade has around 2-30% of good quality of Nickel that helps in offering the best traits as compared with this version of grades. The grade has improved fabricability and formability seen in extensive temperature environment. The presence of good chemical composition in the grade offers excellent properties. Presence of manganese, niobium, chromium and other cupro nickels helps the grade in enhancing its mechanical properties.
Since Nickel is soluble in copper and thus it renders the Cu-Ni cupro nickels as single phase alpha structures.
