Resistance ability:

In most cases, the corrosion resistance of alloy 304H will be roughly equal to most corrosive environments. In mills environments, it is sufficient to intergranular attacks of welds and heat affected zone. These are widely used because of its carbon amount.

These perform well in fresh water that contains a high level of chlorides and halides. The high-level grade is susceptible to pitting and crevice corrosion.
