This grade is stabilized with columbium grade that offers combined corrosion resistance properties. it has somewhat better resistance ability in the strong oxidizing state. It has excellent resistance to intergranular attacks in exposure to chromium carbide precipitation. It has excellent creep and yield strength. The high carbon content enables the dual certification.
These are hot formed in the temperature range between 1150- 750 degree C. Due to the chromium and molybdenum it holds the time of temperature may be longer up to 50% than the conventional grade. The quenching process is necessary after the hot forming process. The working surface should be cleaned to avoid contamination. The grade is neutral in reducing and slightly reducing environments.
Stainless Steel 347 / 347H IBR Pipes & Tubes are easily cold formed without any problem. The cold hard working rates demonstrate its structural strength. It is induced to pickling process. This alloy can be readily weldable without any hot cracking using the appropriate filler materials. These tubes and pipes are not sensitive to cold cracking. The welding process can be done with and without filler materials. The post weld heat treatments are not necessary. The pickling and rinsing process is necessary to retain corrosion resistance ability in the welded joints.
Testing of product
To ensure quality various test are performed these are like PMI test, hardness test, ultrasonic test and many more.
After the manufacturing, these are processed for examination such as impact strength and material tests that ensure its quality.
